Handmade Sugar Scrub as Christmas gifts for teachers, paras and bus drivers

Making sugar scrub. My question to you... What do you think about the decorated mason jars? I didn't want to spend any more money on decorating materials so I have utilized ribbon, and embellishments I already on hand. Thanks for checking this out. I'll do a more details post after I've finished because at this point I'm still making adjustment to the recipe I downloaded from another pinterest pin!

Christmas Cards 2012

This girl is NOT an artist by any means but, well, I did these little doodles and decided that this is what I'll be sending out for Christmas cards this year. Fall Door Hanger

I just made up this fall door hanger for my Mother-in-Law. It took all of 5 minutes. Sorry my heart just wasn't into crafting today but I promised I'd get this to her so here it is...

Using What I've got!

I'm trying to make use of what I already have in my craft room. I thought maybe just hot gluing a piece of ribbon around the edge of this brown bag would be neat. Yes, I'm that cheap!

Recently my son and I had some rainy day fun painting. I didn't want to put the wet pages on the fridge so I strung up this simple system on the pantry door. Thought I'd share the idea although it's pretty simple and you have probably seen it before.

Had to whip up some baby shower gift cards for my momnlaw. Hope she likes them. It's hard to see but I added pearl accents and dry embossing too. Enlarge to image to see the detail. If you desire that is.

Baby Shower Thank You Card set

As you may see I like this card layout and have used it many times. The good thing is only you and I know this little fact. Why reinvent the wheel when you can simply embellish it with different hubcaps? Ok. that was a weird analogy but you get the idea. Again, I used the bedding as my design inspiration. I downloaded images of wall decals and created my own graphic background. Since the images were a little fuzzy I crimped the paper to camouflage the imperfections.

My sons teacher is absolutely the best! As a token of appreciation I'm making her a card gift set. The design is based on her color and design likes. Hope she likes the set once it's finished. Just wanted to post a card before I forgot.

Baby Shower Announcements

I see that I haven't made any new cards or at least haven't posted any pictures in months. Life is just about raising my son and doing the best I can at my job. Making cards has fallen into the "once in a blue moon" category of things I get to do for myself. I miss making them and really enjoy any excuse to get out my supplies and get creative. I took this idea from cards I made before. So, they are the same but different!

Ushering in the New Year with handmade cards!

My goodness it's been ages since I last updated this blog! 2011 was just "that" kind of year. It blew by so fast I didn't even get a chance to pull out my crafty stuff. I managed to whip up a few ornaments to give as gifts and these New Year's greeting cards. I kept it uber simple. Hope you enjoy if anyone ever really checks this site out that is!
